“The Enemy” Theme Introduced Sabbath, June 23

Any loving parent will warn their child of danger. When they are young it may be a warning about not touching a hot stove or sharp object, or playing with fire or an electrical outlet. Later the warning may involve avoiding places where morals or health are compromised, or people who have no respect for God’s power, presence or character.

Our Loving Heavenly Father has also offered warnings to us, His children. Adam and Eve were warned about the dangers of going near the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 2:15-17). And we are all warned to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”( 1 Peter 5:8).

This Sabbath, June 23 (9am & 11:30am) at Richardson Seventh-day Adventist Church we begin a month-long focus on The Enemy. A Bible Reading Bookmark and Great Controversy Prayer Meeting series are available to go along with the theme.
