Stewardship – Privilege

Stewardship ends in “P” – Privilege Given to us by God – and what a privilege it is!

  • S     SPIRITUAL  GROWTH
  • T     THOUGHT  MANAGEMENT
  • E     EXPENSE  CONTROL
  • W    WORKING  WITH  OTHERS
  • A     ACKNOWLEDGE  ALL  THAT  IS  GOD’S
  • R     RETURNING  TITHE  AND  GIVING  OFFERINGS
  • D     DISCIPLESHIP
  • S      STUDYING   GOD’S  WORD  AND  PRAYING
  • H     HEALTH  HABITS  AND  DIET
  • I      INFLUENCING  OTHERS
  • P     PRIVILEGE  GIVEN  TO  US  BY  GOD

Webster defines privilege as a right or immunity granted as a peculiar benefit, advantage or favor.

In Galatians 4 Paul writes, “God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts … Therefore we are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

What greater privilege is there than to be adopted as the son/daughter of God?  All we have to do is believe the gospel – the birth, life, death and resurrection of Christ and accept God’s gift of salvation.  By doing so we are granted another privilege which is to live with Christ eternally. We cannot do enough or work enough to obtain this gift/privilege.  It is freely given by God.

Being good stewards and helping others to see God and His love for each and every individual demonstrates our love for an awesome God, who gave His only Son to die for us.

This brings us to the end of our review of the different aspects of STEWARDSHIP.  I am sure there is much that I didn’t cover, but I have learned a lot through the research done to write these articles.  I hope you have enjoyed them and have also learned something of value.  Bottom line – IT IS ALL ABOUT GOD.
